SOLFuture – End of project

After years of intense work, interdisciplinary collaboration, and many lessons learned, the SOLFuture project was successfully completed last September.

This project aimed to lay the foundation of a country strategy for efficient solar light conversion to sustainable fuels and commodity chemicals by developing reliable and efficient technologies.

The completion of the SOLFuture project has led to significant advances in photoelectrode and device engineering, including high-performance hybrid photoelectrodes and perovskite-organic tandem solar cells, achieving photovoltaic voltages close to 2-3 V, long-term operational stability, and architectures suitable for future photoelectrochemical integration.
