After almost four years of implementation, the S2H project was successfully completed last September.
This project aimed to generate new knowledge to improve the efficiency in the conversion of seawater into hydrogen through the use of solar energy.
Three technologies were applied for this purpose:
i) RED for seawater valorization and electricity generation.
ii) Photocatalysis for the valorization of seawater and the generation of H2.
iii) PEMFC for the generation of electricity from the H2Â generated.
