ASTERIx-CAESar – First stage of the installation

New progress has been achieved in the installation of the desalination pilot within the ASTERIX-CAESAR project at the Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA).

During the week of April 6, part of Apria’s engineering team travelled to the PSA facilities to carry out phase 1 of the installation of the GLPX-assisted reverse osmosis system, with on-site work.

This desalination system will be integrated with a Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) system, forming part of an innovative solution combining water and energy technologies.

The pilot includes a GLPX (Gas-Liquid Pressure Exchanger) device, which enhances the energy efficiency of the reverse osmosis process and contributes to the development of more sustainable systems.

The activities were carried out in collaboration with the PSA technical team, advancing the implementation.
