After three and a half years of intensive work, the INDESAL project was successfully completed last January.
The project aimed to develop and demonstrate an innovative, integrated, and circular seawater desalination system with a low carbon footprint to simultaneously produce desalinated water for multiple uses, renewable energy, and resources.
From our part, we have expanded our expertise in electromembrane technologies for various applications, incorporating complex automation systems: 60 variables monitored and controlled remotely, and 30 control loops.
Many thanks to all the project partners: Acciona Agua, UC, REDStack, and REVOLVE, for pulling together and overcoming the challenges that have arisen during the project.
We hope that the work we’ve done will mark the beginning of new collaborations!
