Part of the Apria team participated in the course “Emergency care: airway obstruction, epilepsy, and CPR maneuvers”, delivered by Sonia , a nurse specialized in emergency services.
During this three-hour, hands-on training, the team learned how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at different stages —infant, child, and adult— the Heimlich maneuver, as well as protocols for anxiety attacks, epileptic seizures, and other emergency situations.
The session also covered how to respond to anxiety or epileptic episodes, essential items for a first aid kit, and protocols to follow in different emergency situations.
The practical component played a key role: it was an effective, dynamic, and enjoyable experience that allowed participants to gain useful, real-world skills both inside and outside the workplace.
