CAPTUS – Follow-up meeting

Last week, several partners of the CAPTUS project met in Ghent (Belgium) for a follow-up meeting to review the progress achieved so far.

As part of the meeting, participants visited the Steelanol plant at ArcelorMittal, where one of the project’s key demonstrations is being developed under real industrial conditions.

CAPTUS aims to demonstrate a full Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) process based on an innovative multi-stage fermentation technology. This approach will enable the conversion of carbon-rich industrial gas streams into value-added products, contributing to the decarbonisation of the steel industry.

The meeting provided an opportunity to share results, align next steps and strengthen collaboration among project partners.
