ECOMATES – Training week at Apria

From March 9 to 11, Apria hosted the School on Design & Fabrication of COâ‚‚RR Electrolysers, an intensive training programme for doctoral candidates involved in the ECOMATES project. The training combined lectures and hands-on sessions covering COâ‚‚RR system design, techno-economic analysis, sustainability and life-cycle assessment.

On March 12 and 13, the University of Cantabria hosted the project’s 36-month meeting, bringing together researchers, supervisors, and partners from across Europe. During the meeting, the consortium reviewed progress across the different work packages, shared results, and discussed the next steps towards advancing electrochemical CO₂ conversion technologies.

As part of the programme, participants also took part in a social activity, visiting the Magdalena Palace, one of Cantabria’s most iconic landmarks.

The ECOMATES project brings together an international consortium including Politecnico di Torino, Italian Institute of Technology, University of Montpellier, University of Iceland, Trinity College Dublin, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, VITO, Advent Technologies S.A. and Apria Systems, S.L.
