Project ECOMATES, awarded under MSCA-DN call

ELECTROCHEMICAL CONVERSION OF CO2 INTO ADDED VALUE PRODUCTS VIA HIGHLY SELECTIVE BIMETALLIC MATERIALS AND INNOVATIVE PROCESS DESIGN

  • Funding: EU’s Horizon 2021 program under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks
  • Project code: GA No 10102830
  • Budget: 2,684,829.58 €
  • Period: 2023 – 2025

ECOMATES is a Doctoral Network of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie action program that aims at making significant breakthroughs in the electrochemical CO2 conversion technology concerning the current reported strategies by pursuing an in-depth study of the surface electronic properties of selected bimetallic electrocatalysts.

The ECOMATES MSCA-DN will train 10 Doctoral Candidates (DCs) who will perform research in top European laboratories guided by current European leaders of electrocatalysis technologies, both at the experimental and computational levels.

Ph.D. Candidate #10 will be hosted at APRIA and enrolled in the Ph.D. school of the University of Cantabria supervised by Dr. Esther Santos and co-Supervised by Prof. A. Irabien with the project entitled: “Design and testing of a lab-scale electrolyser”
