Hydrogen E-Bike

We present the latest advances in the adaptation of a hydrogen fuel cell to an electric bicycle battery, which offers greater autonomy and shorter charging time.

This work is a follow-up of previous projects such as PEMFC-SUDOE and H-Bike-2-Ride that obtained great results. One of them is the Aveiro Urban Challenges award in the category “Bicycle powered by hydrogen fuel cells”. Thanks to this award, Veolia participated in the Aveiro Tech Week where the bicycle was demonstrated.

In recent months, Apria has been working on different improvements to the bicycle, achieving the following advances:

• Enhanced connectivity between the H2 storage and the fuel cell.
• Compact control system design integrated into a portable touch screen.

Apria is committed to continuous improvement and innovation in this project.
