Progress in the construction of the ASTERIX pilot plant

The ASTERIX-CAESAR project is successfully moving forward with the construction of the reverse osmosis (RO) desalination pilot plant assisted by GLPX technology.

Construction work is currently underway at Apria’s facilities and progressing satisfactorily. Once completed, the pilot will be integrated at the Plataforma Solar de Almería, where it will operate alongside the compressed air energy storage (CAES) system.

This milestone marks an important step in developing innovative and sustainable solutions for water and energy management within the ASTERIX project.
