The Spanish company Smart Sensor Technology, with the technical support from Apria Systems, obtains funding from the SME Instrument Phase 1 – H2020 European program. The project will develop an innovative system for early soil contamination detection by hydrocarbonsl from storage facilities. Funding , in its initial phase , consists of 50,000 euros grant for the development of the business plan associated with the marketing of the system. The competitiveness of this call is highlighted in its low success rate, always below 10%. In the last call, of the 1995 submitted projects, only 174 were funded.
